Are Deep Fat Fryers a Fat-Loss No-No?

The name of these small kitchen appliances doesn’t conjure up images of svelte models in bikinis strutting confidently around the swimming pool while on holiday. People in good shape are the last you’d expect be eating food cooked in deep fat fryers and in the past this would certainly be true. Traditional fryers used a deep container that was filled with oil which is essentially fat. This fat was then heated up before the food was submerged into it. This resulted in deliciously crispy fried food but as we all know, most things that are nice are not good for us. Due to this cooking process many people have shunned these fryers for health reasons but now they are starting to make a comeback. This resurgence is down to a new generation of low fat fryers which use tiny amounts of oil in comparison to the older models. This means you get perfectly fried food without all the negative health implications of the past. So to answer the question: not all fryers are a fat-loss no-no.

What is better – Dieting or Exercising ?

There is a thin line difference between dieting and exercising to weight loss. If you ask yourself how to lose weight in your face or if you ever get stuck and have to decide only one course of action then I would recommend choosing exercise over diet. You see diet is a sure way of losing weight but it would take at least 3-4 weeks to see any slight difference in weight. But when you exercise you can see quite a difference, just in 2 weeks. This is why exercises work faster to lose weight.

But if you do go with diet, make sure that prepare a complete chart before you start the weight loss plan. Try to eat smaller meals multiple times rather than eating huge meals twice or thrice. Smaller meals keep your digestive system working and you wont get any cravings to eat again. This prevents overeating and maintains your metabolism at a constant rate.

How many proteins per day?

how many proteins do i need to eat everyday? This is a question i get asked all the time by my clients. Fortunately, they understand the importance of them. In any diet plan, whether it is for losing weight (or as they say in Italy dimagrire ) or for gaining lean mass, you need to have a good intake of proteins everyday. They are the essential blocks of which our muslces are made from. They are like the bricks that make up a wall. Getting too few proteins in our diets is equal to not having enough bricks for building a good and robust wall. About the question of how many you should have everyday, it really depends on your body composition and your outcome. If you are 120 pounds with 10% bodyfat you will need a different amount of proteins than if you are 100 punds with 30% bodyfat. So i recommend consulting with a professional around this.
