Of the 325 acre estate, Fogarty makes sure to stay sustainable by having only 25 acres currently planted with vine at any one time. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, sparkling wine (think Champagne, although we can’t call it that) and Merlot are the standard offerings from this winery which makes an outstanding choice for wine gifts no matter how serious of a wine drinker your recipient is. It is also important to note that with views of the valley below and the San Francisco Bay Fogarty winery has long been a favorite stop for weddings and other special events. The only complaint according to some critics is that the wines can be too ripe at times. Personally, I think that’s a thinly veiled attempt at complaining when there is nothing but truly enjoyable wine available at this winery.
